Werona is centrally located in the historic city of Launceston. Werona is Tasmania's most exquisite heritage bed and breakfast accommodation and offers magnificent views from the garden and balcony, of the Tamar River and surrounding Tamar Valley. Built in circa 1908 it is classified by the National Trust and has been meticulously restored, winning many awards, including the 'Period Home Renovator House of the Year'
Situated 12 kilometers from the airport Werona is within easy walking distance of many excellent restaurants, museums, antique and book shops, historic homes and buildings. The newly constructed cosmopolitan 'Waterfront' that caters for mooring yachts, has several restaurants to choose from and is the starting point for many river cruises. It is also close to the start of the Wine Route, trout fishing on private lakes and a great staring point to explore the beautiful Tamar Valley and its many attractions.
